Happy (belated) Feast day, Little Lulu!
Last year, our tree failed. We hosted Christmas, and when my mom arrived she asked, “Why isn’t your tree decorated? Where are the lights?”
“What? Tree? Huh? Where am I?…” I replied in a hostess-induced daze.
See? Fail.
So, this year, we decided to start a new family tradition. The tree is to be lit on the feast of St. Lucy.
December 13th.
We plan to trim the tree Christmas Eve, in preparation for Jesus’ birthday. Kind of like decorating for a party!
Although I do have one “ornament” already on the tree:
Because, oh my goodness, have you seen this belly:
Apparently, Mary’s not the only one preparing for a baby this season…
Love your pictures.
Thanks Uncle Denny! Andy got me a new 50mm, f 1.8 as an early Christmas present. It’s a lot of fun to play with, and is does fabulous in low light (which is pretty much my whole life during the winter!)
