Merry Christmas! and a Board Game Review

I took about a bazillion photos over the last week, so I’ll need a minute to filter out the best. In the mean time, here’s a family photo (of the five of us!) in front of our church creche:DSC_5956

On a funny note, the elder Elders (Andy’s parents, hardy har har) brought a new fantastic party game to our Christmas celebrations: Telestrations. I highly recommend you add it to your board game shelf… if you have such a thing.

Even if you don’t, you should get this game.

Remember the game telephone? You know the one you played in elementary school, where a word is passed from person to person and greatly mutilated in the process. This is a version that involves drawing pictures, and it had me laughing so hard that I am distinctly aware of my stomach muscles today (which, by the way, now exist on either side of my ginormous belly instead of down the middle of it… gotta love pregnancy!).telestrations-6

60 second drawing abilities varied greatly, as displayed by the following photos:telestrations telestrations-2 telestrations-3

Names of the artists are withheld for privacy purposes…ha ha *snort ha ha ha ha!

They’re all supposed to be Indian and I apologize for how incredibly politically incorrect that may be.

This is also Jessie’s rendition of “asphalt jungle” which is, admittedly, very difficult to draw.telestrations-4

If you don’t have it, go get it. And prepare to laugh till you cry from joy. It was made more perfect with the addition of my father’s famous hot cocoa and great, great company.telestrations-12telestrations-7 telestrations-8 telestrations-9 telestrations-10 telestrations-11

Merry Christmas Season everyone!

P.S. Ana Clara played in English, which is pretty dang impressive. Serious props to her for playing in a second language!
